Congratulations to you! Being here and reading this means you likely want to grow and are willing to bring your attention inward. That is worthy of congratulations.
Let us assume you gain one thing and one thing only from being a part of this community. In that case, I hope you discover how to connect to your body to develop a lasting sense of purpose and resilience. This is what it means to “turn inward.”
If you are like me, you thought (or maybe still think) that turning inward is something you do mentally. The reality—the actual physical reality—is that turning inward is an interoceptive journey to learn to sense and feel inside one's body.
This psychosomatic practice is part mindfulness, part bodyfulness, and we call it embodied leadership. We teach it here, and it will allow you to grow and excel consistently in your life, work, and relationships.
We are not going to leave these raw, real lives behind and escape to some dream scenario. No amount of intellectual information will help you if it is not embodied in some way. We repeat This fantasy while putting off living for a potential future date.
Growth happens by learning to drop into our bodies, where we can reshape how we respond to everyday life's tests, trials, and challenges. This is a turning point where real growth happens in tiny yet immensely powerful ways.
When you learn to drop into your body you will discover the key to lasting fulfillment, groundedness and purpose is found inside your body - not your head or intellectual capabilities. This is often a hidden way to escape.
I intend to pass this realization on to every leader I work with. Learning to get into your body is the key to your growth, success, and development and your greatest gift to the world.
This is embodied leadership training. We will learn tools and techniques to befriend our nervous responses to challenges and to reshape protective patterns so we can grow and excel in work and life.
We commit to training to do “this work” in order to become better leaders and humans. This will allow us to bring more good into the world and pass on less confusion. This is what it means to truly excel in work and life as embodied leaders.
You are the only person who can do “this work”. No book, device, guru, or scientist can tell you what you are feeling. Only you can be trained to report on and to respond to what is happening in and on your body.
As you will learn in this program, reshaping your nervous system's response to cues for danger is the key to accessing your greatest gifts. When leaders learn to reshape their nervous systems' automatic reaction patterns to challenges and cues for danger, they become a regulating resource for themselves and others. This is the ultimate gift you can give to the world.
Let us commit to becoming fully resourced leaders who can cultivate an empowering sense of well-being and resilience while excelling through the challenges of work, life, and relationships. May our practice continue for the good of everyone and all things, and may you get what you are looking for.
Let’s begin! If you haven’t already, join our community and comment below so we can begin practicing together.
